xp can repair itself...use the repair option when you boot up the restore disc and many times it will fix it...if not or if you have lost the restore disc than just use an oem or a hack copy from the local flea mkt or computer shop.

yes when you buy the comp. it comes with it a cd which can work the system go to control panel upload or upgrade you windows hope it could help
