You are one fifty billionth part of humanity and you have one fifty billionth part of the responsibility for resolving humanity's problems. Anything else you do is a bonus for humanity.
Take a look at the stars at night, you don't have to think about anything during this process.
You can't think too much, just stop worrying about things that you can't change.

I totally understand you. I go through this myself time to time.
But whenever I travel to see my family (abroad) i feel absolute great and a changed person after i return. I just ask myself 'why was i worrying about this before i left!! so stupid!'.
But as time goes and i'm back to routine and things that are small and annoy me, they end up as bigger worries than they shouuld be.
May be you should - walking in the cool weather and let your head get fresh air, and do power walks for 30/40 minutes. After you arrive home you'll feel better. Also some type of aerobics, or excerisise that puts oxygen in your brain. That makes you feel better, but you must do it regularly. Also get good vitmains. Sometimes the iron may be low and your body can't handle small issues and they start looking bigger and more worrying.
If you don't like the gym, you should consult doctor but don't get carried away with the medication they give you!!!They once told me to get medication which i'm glad i didn't because I just had a holiday and back i was feeling great and i don't think that was unti-depressant, it was just stress from in laws and a new home that i'm trying to re-build and doing the construction work which is tiring and doesn't seem to end quickly! That's stupid worries i have!
drink plenty of water
do some power walks around your home 30/40 minutes
try to find more friends to chat with & meet up, have a laugh
find a group glasses, pottery, or art, or paint or swimming/gym.
try to count from 1-100 when your brain is stressing you
try to smile in front of the mirror and have a laugh of the problems you are worrying... make a joke about it!
Life is too short. One day when you're 75, your only worry will be death. Those are silly worries we are all having in this generation because life is more easier than 1000 years ago when the human being used to run to hunt and find food. We are meant to move and not sit one place. If you let your blood flow fast, your brain will have more fluit to worry less... drink lots of water! Think of this moment, not too far ahead!
GOOD LUCK!

I have exactley the same, the only way I switched off the noise in my head was to get absorbed into something and concentrate on what I was doing now!
Went and saw my doctor about something else and he diagosied me with aniexty attacks and depression, have started a course off anti-depression tablets, but have not started to work yet.
Hope this helps a abit and you should talk with your doctor about this!

Try meditation. Usually I just sit on a pillow on the floor in a quiet room, close my eyes, and focus on the silence. Or if it's not quiet enough for meditation, I listen to music to relax.

I have always done the same thing and it drives me nuts!! About the only thing that works for me is deep breathing and relaxation exercises. It's actually something I learned in Lamaze class. All you do is lay down with your eyes closed and individually relax each part of your body. After you have done that then start deep breathing. You count to yourself 1....................2.................as you breath in then 3.......................relax.....................as you breath out. This is the only way I can get to sleep at night and I have been doing it for years. I hope I explained it good enough for you and I hope it helps. Good luck!

don't worry so much, you are dead a long time, enjoy life, worrying never solved anything, Make a "Specific" worry time of the day or week is better, "Say I'll worry between 4:30- 5:40 PM, then you miss the time slot, it will be over, and you won't have to worry........"Thinking man's way".......

Short term if you can't sleep or whatever have a drink.
But seriously cognotive therapy can be very affective if you suffer from anxiety. See your GP.
