I messed up 10 yrs ago and now I cant get a job because of this. I am know in recovery and have been sober for over 12 yrs now

Yes, there should be forgiveness. We all make mistakes and end up paying for them, but 10 years is a long time to carry that about and not be able to move on and get a job must be really hard for you. Don't give up, never give up. Someone out there will give you that chance so hang on in there and stay positive !

Ten years is a long time. If you have already paid your debt to society, your record should be clean.
That having been said, many employers would be hesitant to hire a convicted felon to handle money or with other people's credit information.
I commend you on being sober and wish you well.
