I think Yahoo have specific ideas about how this site should be used. However they must see that the site is only used by its users and therefore have to do better at furnishing their (our) needs. Add a computerised program to police that then there will be trouble. I know people are deserting this site in their DROVES due to this problem. I have been threatened with "shut-down" myself. There is nothing you can do, Don't even bother completing the customer care form as it is a waste of time.
I will continue using the site. However, if it gets that bad I wont miss it.

I understand what you are trying to get at. Some of the questions on here are of the abusive type from parents and/or neighbors, brothers or sister or grandparents.
What do we do.? If someone on the street said something like this we would find a cop and have them talk to them. What do we do on here.?
That is something I do not know who to answer cause I see a few questions that we can all tell are made up. So if we start with one will we have to find out if all of them are true. ?

I think it is because yahoo answers moderators are so pc obsessed and so keen to have no offence caused, certain words set their alarm bells ringing even if taken out of context.
I agree it is ridiculous when your statement was clearly a very serious question.
What bugs me is the amount of well intentioned stuff that gets deleted versus the volume of vile racist drivel which seems to sail by them on a daily basis. That's what you get with cheap, pc obsessed, computer controlled, corperate policing, nothing of substance and sensible people regularly getting ignored or completely misheard. Krap isn't it? It's like talking to Tony f'ing Blair!

Actual child abuse is not a subject to be used for any other reason than to STOP it.
If you know or suspect any incident, there are much more appropriate places than Yahoo to report it.
I don't understand the purpose of your original question, but it looks like an actual case, and that's probably why you got that response.

Y!Answers don't check many reports that are sent in.
All they do is class the reported as in violation.
Its the moronic Nanny state.
They must be seen as doing something about the way we use the product they supply.
No matter how good the question seems, if someone didn't like it and reported it. It would probably be deleted.
What can I say... sh;t happens!

It would be nice but there are a few problems, the main one being that a ton of people would no longer ask for advice because they would be afraid to.
I think that this site is great for allowing abused children to get advice, encouragement and support on moving forward to get help.

Forget Yahoo answers...if someone is being abused and someone else has knowledge, the ONLY thing to do is report it. Call the cops, the local child welfare dept, anybody..

If you know any kid(s) in trouble, report it to your local police department or child services, not yahoo. That's my guess...
