I had orthoscopic kinee surgery approximately two weeks ago. Since the surgery I have placed very little pressure on the knee however the pain is not subsiding as quickly as I had hoped. Yesterday, i went to the grocery store at which time I developed a cramp in my ankle. When should I start experiencing relief without the help of pain medication, and when will i sleep like a normal human being again?

A walker is used for three to six weeks. Resting, using ice packs and elevating your leg can help speed recovery. Physical therapy is required for all patients. The entire process of recovery can last two to three months.
