Pulling out now would be disasterous, Best case scnerio invoke the draft.over run the countries of Iraq and Iran with troops close the borders to neighboring countries If they attempt to enter shoot on sigjht. Iran might get ballsy and stick their nose in but if they try to use nukes that will probably be their last mistake. There won't be enough of the left of their bodies or souls for Allah to recognize! Reality we should slowly withdraw and re-enforce the troop rotation with trainers train the Iraqi's to stand on their own two feet and get out. let them have a civil war.

Britain and United states of America can pull out of Iraq if they can summon the courage and do the right thing. All they need to do is either one of the two. To pull out of Iraq within the next 9 months to one year time, they need to organise fresh elections in Iraq. The elections should be properly monitored and all warring factions should participate. This would lead to a government represented by all. The success of this strategy depends largely on the transparency of the electioneering process.

Secondly, a government of national unity can be formed. But this may not be as successful as the former. The Iraqis would hardly trust Americans and their allies to nominate those who would lead them without bias.

We can and should pull out.
We should do anything we can to support the Iraquis externally.
We are already treating it as the coalition's Vietnam.
The question is, 'Should 'we' be there doing what 'we' are doing?'
What has happened since Bush and Blair first considered their illegal enterprise is a separate wright/wrong issue, despite their pathetic protestations.

I understand that we are in the process of reducing our commitment.
We sent 45000 troops to assist with the invasion and I think we are now down to about 7000. I also understand that this number is to be reduced as the USA increases it's troops by another 20000 or so.

To answer your question I do not believe that Britain will allow herself to be bogged down indefinitely in this mess
