sometimes it's a good idea to just draw the line in the sand and just stay on the safe side. sure, life's about taking risks, but some risks need to be calculated ones. the way i see it, you stand to lose more than you may gain, therefore you need to stand tall and walk proud. don't let this situation ruine you and a friendship. he sounds like he's playing the both of you. i just recently had a friend who went thru the same situation. my advice to him at the time was,..... be prepared to have your heart broken, and not a day later he told me just that.. she was playing the ex, my friend and also leaving it open to the dating game! i hope this helps.

you donot believe your best friend beacuse you want those things to be be wrong...
it is unlikely that your best friend is lying to you...
there can be two possibilities :
he says he loves your best friend .. so probably he is keeping in touch with you and being nice to you because of her...
well he was unfaithful eariler for which your best friend dumped him.. so it might be so that now he wants to play with both of you....
he doesnot sound like a nice guy. .. if he really likes you then he will not tell ur best that he likes her.. think about it.. you might end up getting hurt, if u endup liking him too much and if he doesnot feel the same...

Why are you doubting your friend over a boy, a boy who was unfaithful? What kind of friend are you for even contemplating getting with your friends ex? I suggest you both keep away from him for your own good's as it will only end up with tears for all of you. At least this way you and your friend will remain friends.
