Just throw it out there! I can't believe it hasn't come up in some way, shape, or form by now. Assuming it hasn't, he's never gonna be ready.

Are you married?

Maybe you should bring up the whole marriage thing first?

I am not saying that you should be married before you have children... I have a child and I am not married.

All I am saying is that if this guy is willing to marry you, you know he wants to spend the rest of his life with you.

If he is willing to spend the rest of his life with you, chances are, he is willing to have children with you.

If he is not willing, or says he doesn't know..... I probably wouldn't bother. He should know after 6 years!!! If he doesn't, he never will.

You deserve someone who knows what he wants... and what he wants should be you, and children by you.

Jump in the deep end, but make sure you can swim.

As I always say..... if you don't think you can handle hearing the answer that you DON'T want.... then don't ask the question!!!

First are you married to him. If so than yes i would tell him that it's about time your son has a brother or sister. You guys don't want to big a generation gap between them. No child should have to go through life an only child. So go for it communication is the strongest thing we have in relation ships besides trust.

You should arrange a nice meal some where, after a few drinks and the mood is nice and calm ask him when he would like to start a family and take it from there. From his reaction you can decide if you want to tell him you do or don't. Good luck x

After being together for so long I find it hard to believe
that you are finding it hard to tell him that you are ready!
Just say it like it is - you have been together for a long
time now and would like to start a family. He could just
well be bowled over and feel the same way as you. It
would be nice for his child to have a little bro/sis too!!

You will never know unless you make him aware of it. So when the two of you are both relaxed, and the mood is right, say "how do you think your child would like to have a sibling"? That is the only way you will find out.

just bring it up casually about children and that you want to start a family with him tell him he doesn't have to answer a for sure yes right now but you would like to talk more about it, you gotta be straight its a big decision and commitment
