try utorrent or azureus they are bittorrent clients and they go rather fast depending on what you are downloading. They aren't your typical p2p file sharing. they let you share file in little packets so you can download from a lot of individuals at once. google search those 2 and u'll find lots of links for it. i use utorrent and have been using it for the past 2-3 yrs.

There are many and all permit illegal downloading of copyrighted material along with a host of various viruses. Stay away from them all. If it's music you are after, there are many legitimate and safe sites that charge about 99c per track.
