I have the stitches from my wisdom tooth extraction removed two weeks ago. Currently there is still a gap in the place where my wisdom tooth used to be. Is this normal? My tissue is not covering up the gap, how long does it usually take for it to completely cover up the gap? I removed one wisdom tooth before this one and just about a day or two later, the gap is covered up completely. So this time i am quite worried. Please post a reply to my question, any help will be appreciated.

The gap is because the area is still swollen. After a couple of months, you will never even know that a tooth was there. As far as the gap, it is so far in the back of your mouth that you'll never notice it after it is completely healed. Give it a few months.

i had my wisdom tooth extracted too. there will really be a gap there but it should be closed immediately after surgery by sutures. give it about a week and the sutures will be ready to be removed. the gap wont be there once the wound has healed. the healing will take about one month.

Give it a month or so. The gap in your gum will heal and seal smooth.

I believe there is a difference between top and bottom wisdom teeth, so that would be one thing to consider.
