This past Spring I reconnected online with and old friend from Jr.HighSchool , As it turned out we were both single , so we became good company for each other online . We became closer friends and fell in love . We've since been back and forth visiting . Next month She is coming here to stay . before meeting her I had 2 very hurtfull relationships one a marriage of 13 years . For the past 2 years or more I have withdrawn from any type of relationship , for fear of being hurt again , but I was very lonely .She has drawn me out and has my heart , were very much in love . Now there is a real fear that things may not last , There are issues that arose that spell disaster on the horizon. Odds are that in the end I will be hurt again . Should I end it now or ride the train to the wreck ? I Know what I'm gonna do ( all aboard ! ) but I'd like some other peoples thoughts

So i'd say just go. If you have even only one small chance of winning, you should try. It was Borges who said: " I committed the worst sin of all: I haven't been happy".
Or, on a more Army's Sarge Approach: "Come on, *******! Do you wanna live forever? Get on that freakkin train!"

You won't know for sure until you try...at least you're going into this relationship with your eyes open. So enjoy the ride and allow yourself (and her) the chance to make it work...just leave the rose-colored glasses off and you should be fine

hell ya, give 'er till the end. i'm like that too. i'll take the train right to the bitter end where it'll crash and take me with it, and then i'll be crawling my way back up for who knows HOW long. can't realize what you have until you see what you've lost.
