I personally don't think there would be anything wrong with the effort. There are Christians other than Jehovah Witnesses who street preach, and some even visit the homes of others to teach from the Bible. Although I'm sure Witnesses will respond, this question is directed to non-Jehovah Witnesses.

No Jehovah Witness will ever enter my home to teach me anything. They twist the Holy Bible to meet their beliefs. The ones who use to parade up and down my street now knows that my house if off limits. Many of my neighbors slam doors in their faces, which is good. No one is going to try and cram something down my throat or in my mind that is not right, and they are wrong to try and do it. If and when if ever happens again, they show up at my door, they will be arrested, they have been warned and I am tired of messing with them and their religious beliefs. They do not ever respect the fact that all people do not believe like they do, they harass people into trying to make them believe their way. It will never happen at my house, my mind will not be changed.

Well witnessing to a Witness takes a little research but you can indeed witness to them very well. First When they are speaking of scripture always point to the scripture above and below the the referenced scripture. And show them the context of the passage.
Also always remember a Witness does not have a personnel relationship with Christ. So start off you meeting with praise and maybe asking people how they hae interacted with Jesus this week. Also get information about the witnesses and have then on hand. I recomment www. watchthetower . com as a very good reference of informaiton. Alwasy better to have at least two christians working as a team. Do not be two pushy in the delivery. Also you best know the scripture well and also there teaching very well. They way you will be ready. Please note you are dealing with a spirit of deception when dealing with a witness best get some prayer covering and do not touch the people of the witnesses unless you have decernment. This is a spiritual battle.

Apart from a few spurious texts, most Bibles say the same thing.
Especially on the main basics.
Check out Psalm 83;18 in both the NWT and the 1611 KJV.
Also Exodus 6;3.
Look at all the scriptures in the Book of John, where Jesus separates himself from his Father in heaven and directs all worship to his Father.
And find me a Bible with the word " Trinity" in it.
Now, what were you going to teach me when you visit?

Just noticed the posting from mc.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I hope you realise that by showing you exactly what the Bible teaches, they in fact are saving your life. If you are still around when Armageddon occurs, just keep in mind the situation when God himself closed the doors on the Ark, shutting out a lot of good people who did not want to listen to Noah. These good people included the parents of the wives of Noah's three sons. They had to be good otherwise their daughters would not have been allowed to marry the sons. The daughters survived. The parents died.
If you are so upset, then simply ask to be placed on the list of " do not call"'s...and no one will.
Maybe in six months, Elder's will check to see whether you still live at that address. Nothing spiritual will be discussed.
It's very hard to hate people you do not see or have nothing to do with.
Have a happy life?????

You're right, I'm answering and I AM one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

The only other group that has ever come to my door to try to preach to me has been the mormons and that was about five years ago. Anyway, they were warmly received and we talked for about two hours. I'm open to discussing religion with ANYONE at any time and in any place as long as the person is being sincere. I have no problem agreeing to disagree.

Note to MC:

You think it's "good" when a person "slam[s] the door" in someone else's face? I sure hope you don't call yourself a Christian. Agree with us or not, Jesus was never that harsh when dealing with the Pharisees.

Everyone has the right to choose what religion they wish to belong to; or do in the USA anyway. I do not look down on anyone or what religion they choose. However, I do not like folks coming to my house trying to push their religion down my throat. If I were to choose whatever religion I would be interested in being a part of, I would attend a church of said religion and might go to one of the members' home and/or invite them into mine.
But a complete stranger popping up on my doorstep to talk about their religious beliefs has got to go. I considered that an invasion of my privacy.

There aren't any contradictions there. What Abijah stated ought to make sparkling it. merely speaking we are no longer in user-friendly words speaking of semantics, yet also about the sequence of activities in time. God with the help of Jesus will resurrect the righteous and unrighteous, and through that thousand 3 hundred and sixty 5 days reign, they are going to all learn righteousness (Isaiah 26:9-10) There are human beings in this international who resorted to unrighteous acts because of no longer sufficiently heard the note of God, and they receives their probability then. God does recognize the middle, yet human beings ought to all recognize that everybody would take delivery of the prospect to benefit and be saved. "although the wicked will be shown pick, he merely received't learn righteousness" Isaiah wrote less than notion in that verse above. those would take delivery of an same probability that others have and their reaction will both keep them (by way of their putting faith) or condemn them (by technique of rejecting what they learn) "lack of existence will be no extra" after the only thousand years have ended. word that in Revelation, that verse is in Revelation 21:4, after the account in financial disaster 20 about the thousand years. The lack of existence which will be no extra stands out because the Adamic lack of existence, the lack of existence that we die via inherited sin. If all of us else at some later time behaves like devil the devil, then the list of our time will condemn them, and the second one lack of existence, that's the lack of existence that one dies from one's own decision to practice sin, receives closer them. That verse about the second one lack of existence is in Revelation 21, yet in verse 8, AFTER the prophecy about "lack of existence will be no extra" No contradictions. the merely correct judgment is a shining party of God's expertise and justice, far more advantageous than that of any human. all of us ought to praise Jehovah for his fairness and love for humanity and righteousness..

I don't think there is any reason in this day and age to go out and knock on doors or street preach. With all of the religious programming on television and all the churches in the nation, there is plenty of opportunity for those who want religion to find it. Going to homes uninvited, and imposing on the streets is uncalled for.

Their response would be a perfect reflection of my response if they came to my door. When i see flaw in others that upset me it is always a perfect reflection of my own flaw. None of the bibles are perfect examples of the teachings of Jesus. much has been omitted, deleted and altered. See www.stephen-kapp.com/articles_to_read. This is an unbiased, factual site giving the roots of christianity, buddhism, and islam in the vadas, siddha yoga, and vedanta philosophy. Jesus was a siddha yoga Guru. See romans 8-29, this discribes the guru diciple relationship.
