This is hard to translate literally; I would use: "Die Familie ist füreinander da, in guten und schlechten Zeiten"

I'm not quite sure about the "wonder", because it doesn't seem to be a corect English sentence.
interpreting it as "a wonder"
Ich war ein Wunder, wie Du es ausdrückst.
Durch Schmerz und Leid.
Die Familie hält ewig.

interpreting: "it was a wonder"
Es war ein Wunder, wie Du es sagst

interpreting: "I was wondering"
Ich wunderte mich, wie Du sagst.

Most probable is: it was a wonder... so "Es war ein Wunder..."

it would sound something like this;

"Durch Schmerz und Leiden ist Familie ewig"
