That's true that the questions get posted for a 3 day period by default, but as soon as you choose a best answer, it closes the question to new answers, so it doesn't really matter.

I think yahoo should have a shorter time Period for Answers with the person posting the question in control fo the time. I am the same I only read the answers in the first 12 hours not the rest, should read more though but don't have the time sometimes you can get heaps of answers

Yahoo should allow the person asking the question to specify the length of time that they would like to have their question available for answers. That way those who lose interest after a few hours can specify only a short period and others who like the 3 day limit can still have it. :)

initially, I both love Yahoo! solutions and Yahoo! 360 although they are 2 diverse issues. What i appreciate about Y! solutions is that you get to help human beings the international over on the failings that difficulty them or they are merely inquisitive about. maximum of all, you get to share your expertise to others which for me is a tremendous deal. i really do not use my Y! 360 account that a lot yet i ought to say that that's efficient coz it facilitates me stay linked to the human beings i really cherish the most like my kinfolk and acquaintances..And it facilitates me to augment my creativity and use my complicated thoughts.. wish this solutions your question..

Some questions are 'in voting' after a few hours, others are 'open' for more than 3 days...I wonder why.

No, I like the 3-day option. I don't like to admit how often I check in on Y!A, and like being able to tell myself that really, I can wait another day. Really :-)

I agree however we might end up with nothing to answer. The way it works is to give enough people time to get to the questions.
