OLD FUZZ: What do the psych tests and oral boards consist of? What kind of queations do they ask?

No, they're not going to ask you about your sexual preferences.
The psych. test will probably consist of huge multiple choice test that asks the same question over and over again in different contexts. It is designed to reveal a psch. profile of you. Some are quite accurate. You are not going to pass or fail a test like this; it is just used to gain some insight into a canidate.
Oral boards tend to ask questions like, Why do you want to be a police officer? Why do you want to work for this department? They will ask what you believe your strengths are, and what you think your weaknesses are.
Boards and interviewers are not permitted to ask questions that might imply discrimination. So there will be no questions about your sexual preferences, political affiliations, or religion.
The boards are not going to try to trick you. They are looking for an honest response from you.
One hint. Your appearence. A fresh hair cut, polished shoes, a good fitting, conservative suit, and no gaudy jewelry. Sit upright in the chair, do not slouch; you don't sit at attention but don't look like you're trying to take a nap either. I once had an applicant appear for an interview wearing a too tight western cut shirt, worn blue jeans, scuffed cowboy boots, a rodeo belt buckle as big as my fist, dark sunglasses, hastly brushed hair, and a scruffy mustache. His demeanor and dress implied that he did not care if he got the job or not. If he was too lazy to clean up for an important interview, he was too lazy to do a police job. He was not hired.
So, take your test, be honest, don't worry about it. Go to the board, answer the questions. Relax.

No good answer.
Stay back in class and learn it again in planet of apes.
Then will know the slammer is empty or full in planet of apes.
