Strangely, for me, it was light bulbs, After a huge bill I checked what was using all the electricity ( by turning stuff on and off and watching the dial wizz round on the meter) Modern houses have lots of bulbs, triple and quad lights, effect lighting etc plus a family leaving them on all the time ( because they don't use much electricity! )

A quick count and I had up to 40 bulbs with a high proportion being left on most of the time. So an average 30 bulbs x 100watts each most of the evening works out to 3kilowatts which is a LOT

The freezer...it does not use as much as say an electric kettle or a washing machine whilst both are being used but the freezer in on 24/7 and so uses more in the long run.

Some demand will depend on the number of people in the house.

if you want to know how much electricity your appliance's use look at the label on back or underneath it will tell you the higher the power consumption in watts the more it will use kettles are usually the worst using between 2.8 and 3kw

kettles toasters immersion heaters they have the energy they use on them eg 3kw this means if u have it on for 1 hour it would cost u 3 units of electricity 1kw= 1000 watts 1kw x 1 hour= 1 unit

Electric cooling or heating and next microwave and washer/dryer. Electric portable heaters use a lot of power and blow dryers.

tumble drier in use all the time and your pc left on. Chest freezers use more if they are on but empty. If you need to stock up put some empty boxes in as this makes them run more effectively
