Oral health is likely depicted but how your gums appear in general. Periodontal diseases are most likely evidenced by bleeding and sensitivity. It is never normal for our gums to bleed even after brushing, unless you are brushing so hard for prolonged period of time. Have your dentist check your oral health because if the problem could be arrested in the soonest possible time, you could prevent the worsening of the disease it there would be any. If you are taking medications such as dilantin, gingival hyperplasia could occur, thus causing gum bleeding. Periodontal disease etiology depends on multifarious of factors. See your dentist. If left untreated it could lead to tooth loss or even halitosis(bad breath).

Maybe. Adults should only use soft bristles to avoid cutting the gums. Have you been eating hard foods lately? That can cause cuts. See your dentist.

CAT-CAT,
IT'S VERY LIKELY THAT YOU'RE USING A BRUSH THAT'S TOO HARD FOR THE GUMS. CHANGE TO A SOFT OR EXTRA-SOFT BRUSH.
START WITH AN EXTRA-SOFT BRUSH AND LET THE GUMS HEAL. THEN, IN 1 OR 2 MONTHS SWITCH TO A SOFT ONE.

You might have gingivitis. Dont worry, gingivitis is not a dirty thing, it happens to most people and most people dont even know they have it. Speak to your dentist and ask him for a mouthwash especially for gingivitis. Try to get a softer toothbrush and brush properly(Ask your dentist how) and try to floss every day.
