Well, 6 years ago I would have said I didn't care. Now, after my wife being a major influence on my life I would have to say that it should be made illegal. Women say that this is their choice because it is their body. Actually, it is the body of the small baby inside of them. If they want to make choices than they can, as my profoundly intelligent wife would say, "CHOOSE to keep your legs shut!" After 3 weeks the fetus has a beating heart a functioning brain, ten distinct toes and fingers. I have seen an ultrasound of an abortion where the doctor(murderer) shoves an object inside to poke the fetus and the fetus jumps away from the object as though it was feeling pain. It was a rather painful thing to watch, but i believe that all those pro-murderers out there should watch it. Abortion is heartless and thoughtless. Also, maybe instead of religious extremists teaching abstinence they should teach protection as to avoid these high counts of murderous acts. It saddens me deeply.

while on consensual sex i am opposed to abortion

rape i am totally in favor or the mothers will.

I believe that life begins at conception. that is when things start happening above a beyond what normally goes on down there.

adoption is another story. i am not so sure i agree with all cases of giving a baby up for adoption.

if the woman is a drug addict the baby should definately be taken out of that situation.
If a woman believes that she would rather chase a money god instead of raising a child, then she should be able to give the baby up for adoption and give gifts to the department of human services on those times when her conscience gets the better of her.

If an underage young lady becomes pregnant by consensual sex and her parents want to disown her if she doesnt get rid of the baby one way or another she should be able to go to the department of human services and put herself and the baby up for adoption. That way on the rare chance that maybe a loving couple will want a baby so bad they are willing to take the young lady on as a nanny and housekeeper.

adoption is a field that i am total open to alternative options but abortion is cut and dried. if there is no sign of rape then abortion is murder. it should not be illegal or protested against but the woman should know that God will ask her to answer for it someday.

It is a very heavy and personal thing. I do not believe that any woman takes it lightly. Circumstances lead to the choice that some women make in their lives. And you are right, it is extremely controversial. It is painful and that lingers, but sometimes it is the best choice. For example a mother of one or two who can not afford another child, who gets no help with the ones she has already. She is probably working a dead end job and possibly going to school too, besides taking care of the kids she has and the home and everything. I know adoption is an option, but most women bond with a child when they give birth and the best place for them is with their own. I worry about kids that are adopted being abused, I just always wanted to be my own child's mother. I should stop before I send someone over the edge. Counseling is important before and after. Also medical followup.

This is such a touchy issue. I am a mother of 5 children, so obviously I myself would probably never have an abortion. I also believe that there are certain situations that at times can call for an abortion.

I volunteered at planned parenthood years ago and I remember the girls coming in to get pregnancy tests and we would tell them that the test was positive and they would flat out ask where they go to get an abortion. That just blew my mind. So I guess it all depends on the situation the girl/woman is in. All in all, its a very personal choice.

If you had AIDS, abortion is fine, as u do not want your kids to be contracted by it. If you could not take care of the baby, say u r a young mother, n it is an accidental baby, i gues thats also fine.

If u r asking it as a general question, for me an early abortion is ok. But after maybe the features are formed and you decide to abort the baby in the late stages, i think that it would be just sad and a little wrong.

This question comes up all the time. I don't know why you're asking about it. Are you thinking of having one, or do you just want to know what the general public thinks? If in fact, you are trying to decide whether to have one or not, these people are not going to give you the answer. That is something you have to think about and look in your heart to see if it's something you can do to yourself, and a baby.
Now, in my opinion, I would never have an abortion after the first month of pregnancy. I think you should be able to make your decision within the first month if you are ready for a child or not. After day 17 when the baby has a heartbeat, I couldn't imagine taking the life way from him/her. I figure, if I'm not ready for a baby after the first month, I should carry him/her full-term and then seriously consider adoption.

For myself, I'm pro-life. But I wouldn't judge another woman for her decisions, I just know which one is right for me. I believe that an unborn child is still a life, even if it's called a "fetus" or an "embryo" or whatever, and that ending because it is wrong...for me. But I don't know someone else's situation, like if something was wrong health-wise with the mother or the baby, or if the girl was taken advantage of and the baby will be mistreated, etc. Otherwise, I believe adoption is the option. Don't use abortions as birth control, but sometimes in emergency situations it may be a difficult and necessary choice.

In my opinion we shouldn't be playing god but there are certian situation where i support it and certain situations where i think it is completely wrong. Example rape victims should be able to decided if they want the child. Same with teens, most teens who have children when they are still teens usually give up their dreams so they can be parents at such a young age and it messes their lives up since they have to support this child. and it not only messes up their life but as a society we all suffer, because that teen could have gone on and discovered something great but since they made a stupid mistake in their teens like many teens do on a daily basis we'll never know! now for when i think it is completly wrong is when women have abortions just becasue they don't want children and they can fincially and emotionally support a child. so i guess for me it depends on the individuals situation

It is killing another human being. I see it as only being ok within a certain timeframe and only if the woman's life is in immediate danger with continuing the pregnancy. I cannot understand how some people can live with that decision their whole life. Everyone I have ever known who had one did regret it, so maybe that says something.

I think unnecessary abortion is wrong. In my opinion about is okay when : problematic to health, the baby is a product of rape, the baby is going to be malformed, the baby is being born to a baby.

Those are the only reasons why abortion should be done and if there is any way to prevent that it should be prevented. Abortion is murder, but so is the death penalty and its necessary sometimes.
