I wouldn't recommend any FAD diets or over-the-counter miracle pills...none of them work over the short or long-term. It sounds to me that you have a goal of losing about 2 pounds per week over the next 10 weeks. Assuming that you are a fully-grown adult female and that you do not have a medical co-morbidity such as a thyroid disorder, diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, etc., this is not an unreasonable goal. If you want to target for a weight loss of 1 lb per week, you will need to create a caloric deficit of 3500 calories over that week--this equates to about 500 calories a day. If you want to target for a weight loss of 2 lbs per week, you will need to create a caloric deficit of 7000 calories over that week--equating to about 1000 calories a day. It is widely regarded in the medical and nutritional communities that you should not aim for anything more aggressive than 2 lbs of weight loss per week.
What is a "caloric deficit"? Simply put, it means that you will expend more energy than you take in. Exercise is energy out of your body. Food is energy coming into your body. Thus, you can create a caloric deficit in a variety of ways...1) Through diet alone (cut the 500 to 1000 calories out of your daily diet) 2) Through exercise alone (exercise for a period of time sufficient enough to burn 500 to 1000 calories) (that's ALOT of exercise by the way!) OR 3) Combine some dietary cutbacks with some exercise.
I know, I know, a sensible diet AND exercise?--easier said than done...but as a personal trainer and a physician I know it is the best, safest, and most effective way to lose weight.
If you have any medical issues (anemia, pregnancy, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, angina, etc.), you MUST consult with your physician to make sure that your exercise program will be tolerated by your body without deleterious effects. If you have no idea how to cut calories from your diet, I would recommend keeping a food diary for at least 3 days--recording absolutely everything that passes your lips--and then taking a look at what you've consumed. There are some great calorie counting programs and freeware/shareware out there that you can input your food items into, and the program will spit out how many calories you've consumed, complete with a breakdown of calories from carbs, protein, and fat. Additionally, you may want to consult with a nutritionist or a registered dietician for help in looking at your current diet and finding ways to trim it down. A good dietician doesn't cost as much as you might think!
I hope this helps you. Best of luck for a healthy weight loss!

You do not want to lose weight too quickly... if you are not exercising, you will have flabby muscles to deal with. If you plan to do this without a structured plan or organization to help, you should enlist another overweight friend to be your Diet Buddy. You will be more likely to stick to your diet if you have someone else who will keep you honest while you are keeping her/him honest. ( If it's a he, he will lose more easlier than you... don't be discouraged.) Do you like to swim? Swimming is a great exercise that will work all the muscles in your body. Stair climbing is another good exercise ... also slow walking is good... it's not how fast you walk but how long and how far.As your body adjusts to the exercise, add a little farther to continue to challenge it. Cut out the sugar in your diet ...cut down on the carbahydrates .... Drink lots of water... it helps your body break down the fat into energy your body can "burn" up.Eliminate flavored coffees... if you drink coffee, drink it black... Unsweetened tea... NO sodas... Begin an exercise regime ...slowly and gradually increase it.... Two pounds a week is a healthy speed.... the first week you may lose quite a bit of water weight. But it will taper off after the first couple of weeks. Make sure that you are getting enough protein to replace any muscle fiber that you may lose.... and remember when you have firmed up your body, that muscle weights heavier than fat . Check out Weight Watchers ... they have some great plans.

Not eating is the worse thing to do. You body will actually think you are starving your so it will store anything you eat and turn it to fat (it is a defense mechanism).
try lower calories but no less than 1200 a day, balanced meals, protein (meat) will help you feel full and prevent snacking, lots of water, and finally exercise (30 mins to 1 hour at least 4 days a week). Cardio like running, swimming, and biking burns the most calories then stretch to prevent soreness and increase flexibility.
Also juices and sodas are terrible.
Also many meals, like 6, are best just keep them small. this prevents snacking and starving and allows the body to burn those calories throughout your day naturally.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

You do not state your age or activity level. Judging by your grammar and your concerns I have a feeling you are rather young.
You also do not give your height and weight and what you are aiming for.
I found the best way to lose weight is lots of water, lots of veggies and fruit, and to avoid almost anything white (except for salt!). That includes sugars (including honey and brown sugar), pastas, white flour products. If you have potatoes, plain with no butter.
If you are eating chicken for dinner, remove the skin and leave it. Cut the fat from your meats. Drink skim milk instead of whole. Even 1% is a huge improvement. These little things will not draw attention to you, and will have results so long as you watch your caloric intake.
Stay away from the sweets, ice cream, fruit drinks, candy. Get lots of exercise. Of course avoid all alcoholic drinks because they are packed with calories. They also seem to weaken resolve and can result in binges that set you back.
There you go! I lost 45 pounds last summer with these changes. Good luck! and.. a year later, having kept these changes in my diet, I have not even gained weight during the winter, when most of us are prone to pack it on. I did not even gain over the holiday season!
Good luck kiddo!
By the way, as much as I understand hating being fussed over, consider yourself very fortunate to have people in your life who care. But remember, stand up for yourself and don't let them sabotage you if you really do need to lose that weight.
Common sense is your best guide.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

you don't need to starve yourself. just eat right.. then eat less and less each day until you get used to eating only something minimal. skip snacks especially afternoon and midnight snacks. exercise at least 3x daily, about 30 minutes each and don't ride when you go out if it is only less than a mile, learn to walk or run. it helps.

If you make a salad out of cucumber, egg whites, tomatoes, mushrooms, radishes, onions, seafood of some type(like imitation crab), peperocinis, you will have few calories and a lot of food. Stuff yourself.
