Do you think we (America) will be in a Nuclear War/Holocaust within the next year, 10 years, 20 years, etc?

A nuclear attack by a terrorist organization, (lunies) backed by a third country on our soil here in America? ...Possible.
It will not be a direct attack from another country to us, because if that is the case our response would be to completely obliterate their country with our own nuclear counter attack. So if it happens it would be a "suitcase bomb", smuggle through one of our open borders or in a container through our ports.
I just hope that does not happen, cause it would make 9/11 look like child's play.

The biggest danger of war is from rouge nations with nuclear bombs. With North Korea taking the big lead is this category, they have nuclear weapons and their entire political, social, and economic system is in a state of terminal decline. When the government folds where are the nuclear weapons going to go, and the scientists who develop them for that matter? Not to mention North Korea will sell almost anything for a buck.
Most countries which stable systems are not willing to utilize Nuclear weapons for fear of reprisal, and the fact that you can't exactly do anything with the land mass you just irradiated. However under Bush the military has looked into "tactical" nuclear warheads, including earth penetrating nuclear bunker busters. The development of such weapons can only sever to lessen the "threshold" of willingness to deploy nuclear weapons.

I can't believe people make a joke of this question. Believe it or not people we are on the brink of it in the next 5-10 years. If we don't do something about Iran and North Korea there will be a nuclear attack. Any nuclear attack, whether it's an ICBM or a suitcase bomb, will start a chain reaction of events all over the world.
For instance, lets say Iran builds 2 nukes in the next few years, annihilates Israel......You think the U.S. is not going to be pissed?? We smoke Iran, then the crazy kook in North Korea sees his big opportunity to lay waste in Japan....so on and so on and so on....

No!!!! I happen to believe that all govt's are self serving self preserving and loathe to suicide which is the result of nuclear warfare. I don't care what image they project in the end they will do whatever it takes to keep their govt's going. SO in the end greed and self preservation will save the day from nuclear holocaust. However that is not to say a terrorist might not get a nuke. He very well might but that is not a nuke war that is a tragedy not the end of mankind.

I think there may be a nuclear attack at some point by some small country such as North Korea against somebody, but I doubt a down and out war. I think most of the world's leaders realize nobody wins and what you would gain is unusable.
