At first the doctor thought I had rheumatic fever but I don't. So what could be wrong? This is the second time they do the test.
My platelets and CRP are also high. Does anyone know what can be causing this?

ASO or Anti-streptolysin O is test to detect the presence of an anitbody produced by our body whenever a bacteri particularly Streptococcus is present. It could be a respiraory infection, scarlet fever, pneumonia or as the doctor said rheumatic heart fever.CRP or C-reactice protein is a test for the presence of inflammation so I can say that you may have an infection in the body caused by bacteria streptococcus. Now, its upto the doctors to correlate it clinically (based on the signs and symptoms ). He may ask for another lab tests like blood count (to check the white blood cells ). Hope this helps. God bless
