Jeeps do have the tendency to fall in value rapidly after the 5 to 7 year mark...but then lets face it, value for resale is not exactly why someone buys a Jeep. It may be the looks or the off road capability or something else, call it personal preference. It sure is not for the resale value or for the gas mileage, though in a Cherokee you could expect around 23-25 highway mpg. this will change when you start to modify. a lift and larger tires to improve offroad manners will sharply decrease mpg. without regearing to compensate, you are looking at a loss of performance. but this is more likely stuff that you may deal with down the road. if you buy a Jeep, enjoy it and do as many have done before you, drive it until the wheels fall off!!!

A Grand Cherokee? Jeep hasn't made Cherokee in a few years.

Jeep is made by Daimler Chrysler. Have had two Jeeps, loved em, want another.

What you call jeep,I call 4 wheel motor vehicle.

Jeep formerly know as GP (general purpose)
Started in the states in 1941. 3 different versions Ford had the Pigmy, Willy's & Bantam.

Willys got the contract couldn't keep up with demand called Ford to help them with production,& bantam produced trailers.

Over time Willys went bankrupt, & jeep has been shuffled around like a red headed step child.

JEEP is made in Toledo ohio, i live here and have several relatives that work in the jeep assembly plants, buy one, feed my nieces and nephews . i have a 97 wrangler lifted with 33 inch tires. we beat the crap out of it and i have had it buried to the doors and still climbed out. buy it, you wont be disappointed . suprisingly , jeeps of all vehicles hold there value very well. plus those things are virtually indestructable and way to much fun to get muddy.

They are made in Toledo Ohio. Jeeps are good vehicles. All vehicle values go down over time.

it fairly is annoying to tell what's made in Japan in recent times; i've got confidence Honda, Toyota, and Nissan are all made interior the US, for the main area. no count if or not they're made in Japan or right here, I nonetheless have confidence that Toyota and Honda make countless the ideal vehicles on the line. My kin has owned multiple Toyotas and had stable success with them, yet you're able to be able to could spend extra desirable than $one thousand in case you desire a stable used automobile; per risk interior the $4-5,000 selection to be risk-free; you do not desire a junker that may not get you the place you are attempting to bypass. stable success.

jeeps are american made, but at the same time get a big meh from me.

first off, dont believe their trail rated crap, they gave themself the award, so it doesnt mean anything.

second off, from my experiance with them, theyve been pretty flimsy, and nothing feels very tight, especially the steering and throttle response.

third, LOL at the "support amerikuh by buyin amurkin carz" people. Almost all "foreign" cars are built in the USA. Porsche is probably the largest manufacturer that imports all of its cars. Not to mention, almost all are traded on the NYSE, which makes them owned mainly by americans. Oops.

They're made in the USA. The value of a used Chrysler vehicles is usually in a free fall compared to other US. cars. Toyota free falls the least of any. There are many better choices.

Although the Japanese have seen many of them, they are made in the USA. Can not say good, or bad since I have never owned one.
