I have been a mystic since I was a small child, and do not consider myself evil at all.

Most of the mystics that I know and/or know of are great people that have something to give and/or share with society. However....

For example: Organizations (large and small)

The founder ( a mystic ) of a system may be exposed to some partial truth, but as time passes by, especially after the founder ( mystic ) has passed away, "His" postulates, "His" inclination, "His" concluding formula (however MYSTICALLY inclined)---we constantly learn, we never conclude---become a sect, a law, or--worse still--a prejudicial faith. Creeds are invented, solemn, reinforcing ceremonies are prescribed, separative philosophies are formulated, and, finally, institutions are erected, so what might have started off as some sort of fluidity ( mysticism ) of it's founder ( mystic ) is now solidified, fixed knowledge---organized and classified response presented in logical order---a preserved (saved ) cure-all for mass conditioning.
In so doing, the well-meaning followers have made this knowledge not only a holy shrine, but a tomb in which the founder's ( mystic's ) wisdom is buried.

This, perhaps, may be a partial answer towards the truth your seeking out about mystics. However, it may be very rare that a mystic turns into a mobster of some kind. Call it (organized crime) which in many aspects is considered evil.

Anything or anyone can be considered evil... but whether or not they are evil cannot truly be determined by another human being. We can judge and swear up and down that we know good versus evil and that the line between right and wrong is clear, but as soon as you label another human evil you have marred the entire concept of good and evil. If a human can be evil, who is to decide?

Personally, I do not believe people are evil. We are capable of evil acts, but the concept of evil seems to be an invention of those who mean to be "good". Nothing truly "evil" believes it is evil. (and Sorry, kids, those angsty teens with the creative wardrobes just don't cut it, i'm talking a real evil)

No one who is "good" would, by definition, condemn another person as "evil". Best leave this one to the gods.

if you are against God's will. he uses those to which he has given a gift to notify and warn. sometimes, it is hard to tell others of their impending warning, most times they are not willing to hear it from you, sometimes they are based in God's word and to deliver a message that they refuse to accept..what to do to? just tell them anyway..wither they will figure it out ..or dismiss it.......
