Indeed you can. Actually, it does not take an accident 'bad enough' to bring it about. Something as simple as hitting your head on the car window can cause a person to be in a coma IF the contact point is just right. In fact it does not always take an extreme amount of force. I would suggest you research the subject on-line using: car accident, coma, contact points and force. Another way of finding out is to research stats in the census. There are also medical sites that may assist you.

If you hit your head, of course you can go in a coma from being in a car accident. If you know someone who is unconscious after a car accident, take them to the emergency room. Head wounds don't always bleed, so if someone hit their head, you may not be aware of the seriousness of the accident.

Yes, I was mildly intoxicated and wrecked a Lincoln Continental so bad they had to cut me out. Had some head trauma, and some of it was alcohol induced. In a coma for about 4 days. They ran blood work when I came out of it, and I was still legally drunk. (Slow metabolism and lots of 151) The head trauma partially paralyzed me for a couple days, and I had to wear a neck brace for a while. But everything works fine now.

I am pretty sure it could happen, however it is based more on how badly the body was damaged and traumatized. You could fall off of your bike and hit your head in the right spot and slip into a coma.

Absolutely! I have a friend who was in a head on collision back in 88 and was in a come until 92. Had to be retaught everything. He went from being this super popular mohawk wearing dude to a vegetable overnight. It was sad
