Bonjour mon ami if it's a guy,
Bonjour mon amie if it's a girl. (Pronounced the same.)

I wouldn't say "bon soir" to a friend, sounds too formal--I'd say "salut".

She/He is your friend so you are going to say it in a formal way : salut!
If not, then you'll say bonjour!
