My Tattoo Idea...what do you think?

Question

I have to wait another year, but I just want to make sure this is what I truly want.
Just wanting to know what you think about it.

Well, last year I really fell in love with a swallow bird, colorful (i think) maybe with a something that will flow behind it...branches or something (maybe not)...but i want it to be carrying a rosary....what do you think
how would you do it?

I want to put it on my upper ribs

yeah no branches sound good, and i dont want it that big, big enough but not...haha....and I don't mind what the Bible says about tattoos...im proud of my relationship with God, even if it isnt 'right'

I want to get a tattoo because of all the hard things that I have been through in life already. It gives me the determination to get through this hardships and 'fly' closer to God

yes, it sounds do pretty!
i like just the swallow with the rosary!
just make sure you look at this design a lot within the next year, and great for you for thinking ahead.
i love swallow tattoos!

and don't listen to the person above me who said that its been done by a crap-load of people, because nowadays, NO tattoo is original, unless it it a portrait of someone.
not even name tattoos, because unless your name is aquamaquishala'shaunadelvon, someone out their has your name tattooed on them!
what matters is that this tattoo means something to YOU, which it sounds like it does.
the bible may be against tattoos, but god also forgives everyone of their sins, and he will love you no matter what.
god doesn't judge, and doesn't want anybody else to either.

i think the placement sounds cool!
i cant pluck up the courage to get a tattoo on my ribs, i heard its painful!

It sounds like a really beautiful tattoo, which side are you getting it on? (Not that it makes a difference, just curious). It's awesome that you are waiting to make sure you really want it, that's wise, best way to avoid getting a tattoo you hate in a few years. As for the design, I like it, keep it simple, clean lines. The swallow tattoo have graceful lines and is colorful. The reasons behind it sound good too. Ignore the hater and the nay-sayers. All your life you will hear people tell you what not to do because of this reason or that. If we listened to them, we'd sit inside scared to experience life! Good Luck!

I suggest a swollow bird in flight with the rosary in his beck and Id have the rosary dangling behind the bird like in the wind. I wouldnt have flowers or anything to take away focus from the bird.

Don't even listen to what people are saying is in the Bible about tattoos. They sin too when it's convenient for them. I think you are making the right decision about knowing what you want waaay aheand of time. I actually considered my tattoo for 2 years before I actually got it just to be sure it was what I want.

Swallows and rosary's are very old skool tattoos that go back to the sailor days along with pin ups. I love that stuff so I think its cool. My suggestion would be to keep it in the old skool colors also.

That sounds awesome!!
but no branches, just the bird with the rosary, the braches in the background will take the look out of the bird.

The swallow bit sounds cool...i'm not very religious so i wouldn't get the rosary but if you are religious then it would look cool. Maybe not too big though...and i'm not sure what you mean about upper ribs but on the bone will hurt! make sure you get it somewhere you can see it! i wish my tatoo was as creative as yours!

Sounds like an awesome idea! It's tasteful, somewhere you can hide it (ie around those who think tattoos are "evil"), and it means something special to you. I hope you do get it next year!

I think it would look sweet. No matter what anyone says, the tat has got to make YOU happy...

Which brings me to this point...choose a good, reputable artist to make your vision a reality. A good artist will be able to take what you have in mind and put it on paper...help you make proper color decisions and truly make your art one you will be happy with forever.

You have to be SURE about this. You dont want a permanent crap on u. Make sure the tattoo means sumthing. Makesure it symbolizes sumthing really special! Not just anything tht looks pretty.
