Yes, I do think that they are needed today. In the old testiment, prophets spoke to God and led the people. If there was ever a time where people needed guidence it is now. I wonder why people don't believe that prophets are needed today. Where in the bible does it say that there will not be any prophets? I know it talks about false prophets, but that is a warning so we know if one is real or not, and not saying that there won't be any more.

Absolutely. The old testament prophets led the people of their time and looked forward to Christ. After Christ was on the earth, he set up Peter as a prophet. I think people forget to mention that. Why did Christ set up a prophet after he left?
I think we need a prophet today to point back to Christ, and to lead us for our day! We have so many things the old testament and new testament didn't have to face! It wouldn't make sense for God to tell them about drugs and everything we have now. That would cram the bible full of stuff which would be useless for centuries (not to mention possibly harmful to some of those who didn't have to face the problems--might give some weird ideas) for people until now. What is so wrong with having a prophet? It makes more sense that we need one than that we don't.

On seeing the sorry state of the World today, I do feel that all the prophets in the past have exhausted their teaching on us. There is hardly any morality left.Hence we all need salvation through another prophet, who should and will emerge.
Lord krishna has promised in Geeta, -"whenever morality / religion deteriorates in this world, I shall incarnate myself so that evil would be uprooted and true religion re-established ."

WE True Christian KNOW that no more Prophets are required.

THE GOD/JESUS did it all!

Only moon god worshipers are still lacking in information.
Besides Errors their Unholy book is insufficient.

Example of GROSS ERROR is;
"Not Jesus, but a look alike, was substituted and crucified at the Cross." - Sura 4:157
THIS IS BLASPHEMY - AND A LIE! No proof can be offered at all.

To know that God is still guiding us as He always did, and understands how the world changes, would/is a comforting idea.

Yes, but he better be bullet-proof this time.

P.S. Not if his name is Muhammed and he wants to convert everyone. Muhammed who doesn't want to convert everyone can come though.
