well try to keep your cat warm and calm till you can get it to a vet some times you can call your regular vet number and if you let it ring you will get a emergency vet number and they will tell you they will open up for you at least that is how my vet is. I hope you find one that will do that call all the vets in your area and see.

Hi Bec, I am sorry than your cat is sick. It sounds like someone may have had your cat for those 2 weeks. Who knows what he has gone threw. You cat is behind the refrig. because he is scare to death, and for security too. You need to put a bowl of water out for him,and some canned cat food. Just a little to start out with. It sounds like he is half starved, and completely exhausted. I would wrap him up in a warm blanket, and set in a rocking chair, and rock him,and talk to him in a very low voice. You have to reinsurance him, that he is home, and safe.If you have to hand feed him,do so,he has to get something in his stomach to get better, and lots of water. It may take a full week to see any improvements. His leg, someone could of kick him,or he got into a cat fight. That you well never really know.He needs to build is strength back, and like i said,it will take time. But by morning if you are still upset with the way he looks, find a vet in another town,at get him there. Good Luck My Friend

My kitty was lost for over 5 weeks. YOur kitty has been traumatized and you will never know what it has been through. Keep all exits blocked, and music to a soft volume. Your kitty will come around, just keep calling its name and speak in a soothing ovice. Its leg may just be sore from a long fall or jump, but if kitty ttrhowsup it is probably broken. If kitty cries when he walks DO NOT PASS GO get kitty to the vet!!!
Your kitty is sick (one reason) because it was living on rotted food, vermin, old dead birds and no clean water. My kitty was dehydrated, scared, scratched all over and had loss 1/3 of his body mass. Watch him closely and try an E-mail vet info line. Trust your loving gut and if you THINK he needs a vet, he needs a vet. Good luck

OMG... your Q has given me deja-vu! This happened to my beloved Kaffe - went missing 10 days and came back skinny, dirty nd both back legs dragging! That was 4 years ago and my Kaffe is fine and healthy this day.
OK. Your cat needs food in his belly. Milk and egg is not enticing enough. Go to a 7-11 and buy a can of flaked tuna in water. If you have any boiled rice that's better. Mix tuna in a bit of rice (carbs for energy) and pour as much tuna juice in it. Put the bowl where the cat can see it. When he comes out and after he eats it, see if you can grab him. Meantime, prepare his cat carrier or kennel Line it with towels. After he has eaten put him in there. Take the carrier into the bathroom or laundry or any room where you can close the door and the cat won't get out. Put his litter box there and a fresh bowl of water and more rice and tuna. An injured cat will want to hide - that's why he is behind the fridge.
Tomorrow, take him to the vet to get the injured leg checked and treated.
If you can get him to eat tonight and get him to a vet tomorrow, your cat will live... the fact that he made it back home despite his injury shows a very strong will to live.... ohhhhh I pray so...

Look in your phone book for a vet that has an emegency number and call. When you say your cat has been missing for 2 weeks, I assume he got outside by accident. Because the people that let their cats roam free just ask for this kind of thing. But I'm sure you care for your cat more than that and aren't that irresponsible.

i hope your cat at least has a rabies shot and other basics to keep her well....since you really can't do anything right now...you'll just have to wait until morning and then take her first thing to a vet....they usually open at 8AM...you should NOT give your cat cows milk..it gives her the runs...just clean fresh water and some wet or dry food and a soft warm place to sleep till the morning.....she is probably just malnourished right now and a little skittish after being gone so long...just let her come to you...she will after a while...if you relax, she will too

He is scared. Sounds like he got beat up by another cat. If there is a way of getting him, wrap him in a warm blanket and put him in a box. Keep him warm so he doesn't go into shock. Tomorrow take him to the vet. Poor kitty.

your cat seems to be very sick so i think a vet would be a necessary this time,in case of small injury they are capable of healing themself but in ur case it is somethining that only a vet can cure there must be a vet in areas around ur town try asking someone in the neighbhourhood who also have a pet ,i think they will be able to help u

I agree with the answer that says feed him flaked tuna. This person knows the right way so follow her advice. Also try the vets number for an emergency number. You might also try calling the animal shelter - they might have an emergency number.
Good luck. Let us know how puss goes. My thoughts are with you
