A lump in the neck, under the chin, or at any angle of the jaw may be the sign of cancer. Numerous tumor types, both benign and malignant, originate in the jaw. Symptoms are swelling, pain, tenderness, and unexplained tooth mobility; some tumors are discovered on routine dental x-rays. Treatment depends on location and tumor type. Benign tumors may not need surgical excision.
Consult your doctor.

I got that one, too. Well, everyone has that, only theirs didn't swell.
It's what you call lymph nodes. They actually play a vital role in your body's ability to fight off viruses, bacteria and other causes of illnesses. Some 600 lymph nodes are situated throughout your body, with the majority in your head and neck. The lymph nodes that most frequently swell are in your neck, under your chin, in your armpits and in your groin.

These causes them to be swollen:
Strep throat
Mumps
Measles
Ear infections
Infected (abscessed) tooth
Mononucleosis
Wound infections

Don't worry, i don't think that's anything to worry about.

My little sister (10) has one.
she's had it for a few years. we've taken her to the doctor about it, just as a precauton and i can understand your concern with it. Hers turned out to be no big deal, the doctors went with the concept that everyones different. like freckels and moles, people have different balls and bumps here and there. Hers is also in her neck around her ear and she can move it up to her jaw.
You should go have it checked just to make sure it is benign. (don't worry im sure it is!!!)
good luck!
