If a person has just a CD ROM Drive or a CD Writer in his/her system,is it possible to play a DVD Disc drive on his PC.If yes,then how?Suggest some ways.

Nope not possible. The tracks on a DVD are packed closer togather then that in a CD. So the laser in your CD player/writer cannot read this data.

Hi,

You wont be able to play DVD`s on your regular CD writer or Read only rom. If you have additional rack on your desktop tower you can instal a DVD player. But if you are thinking of playing DVD`s on ur Cd writer its not possible

No. A different lens is needed to read DVD's. It's a hardware limitation on the part of the CD ROM.

Nope. The similarity betweeen CDs and DVDs is that they are both round. Not much else. You'll need a DVD reader. However, there are some hybrids out there that will handle both, so if you are going to buy some hardware look for one that will handle both media.
