I don't know how MADE is, but
China is: CHUNG HUA MIN KWO, and
Japan is : DAY NIPPON

Without seeing the characters, no, I'm afraid not. You could post a picture of the sword on another site and then provide a link to it in a future question. That way, we could see exactly what it says.
