Can we keep the God discussion in here? I've noticed a lot of people posting things that say "pray to God" when nobody's asking for religion. I understand that you are very set in your beliefs, and I know people believe that praying is the answer to everything, but there's a reason we have a religion section. It's so that non-religious people don't have to listen to us talk about God. So, let's try to keep it here, where we're expecting to hear about God, ok? Please?

Maybe I'm just sick of having people push their religions on me when I'm not expecting it. I expect to hear all sorts of mission-type things in here, just not outside this area. It angers me. No need to make snide remarks.
Especially Nazi remarks. I'm Jewish.

I understand how respectful you are being about this and I for one appreciate the attempt. However; I doubt that many people will listen or not make some sort of sarcastic comment.
I think you have the right idea and people should follow suit. Personally I would like to see my own religion aloowed in here and not mytholgy and legend but c'est la vie "that is life" and not many people in this day and age respect what should be done or the correct thing to do, unfortunately.

So this is some kind of quarantine room now? Funny, I had this weird idea that it was for the actual discussion of religion and spirituality. If someone is posting "pray to God" as an answer to your automotive questions (or whatever it is you like to ask about), don't send them here. We don't want them either.

Websters Dictionary defines religion as:1. Belief in a superhuman power or powers to be obeyed and worshiped as creator and ruler of the universe 2. expression of this belief in conduct and ritual. 3. any specific system of belief or worship. 4. a state of mind or way of expressing love for, and trust in God as He achieved religion. Sounds like Church, Christianity, faith, =Religion to me! If the religious section is not the proper section, what is? Atheism, unbelievers, creationists might be considered to be the ones in the wrong section. I've never heard to the church or religion of Atheism, The nonbelievers religion or church..etc. The First United Atheist Congregation??? Wow. But, it's still a free country. There is still freedom of speech so do as one feels is proper.

It seems like non-religious people are the majority in this religion & spirituality section. Kinda ironic huh.

How about - There is a mysterious energy field - people call it what they believe - but they still call on it. You have to admit there is something out there that is larger than anything

I think they're not going to get your meaning. They can't separate God from religion.

Now if you could only stand on your soap box in the town square and tell the rest of them to just keep in the church.

I'm all about Jesus...especially right now, when my life sucks so big time, HE is all I have... and really I know HE will get me through. I know that Jesus helps those who help themselves... and right now, I'm just not able to do that. But he won't abandon me, that I know.
