Atheists can't even grasp the concept of God...

2007-01-28 17:11:49 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 4 10

I don't think that atheists know any more or less than other people do. Those of us who are just as ignorant as those who practice religion have a tendency to act like we do, though. No one is sure of themselves, no one can be sure of themselves, no one really knows if there is an afterlife. I think that the point of atheism is not decadence or godlessness or hedonism in the commonly imagined sense. Atheism is rather a choice that one makes- a choice to deny the idea of a higher being and accept the importance and value of the human being and human existence, without being disillusioned by promises of eternity.

Atheists do not know that when they declare that there is no God, that they have infinite knowledge. They know why a cloud which is water vapor for instance, know that water is heavier then air , but yet it floats. They counted every atom of the universe, and know why the universe functions the way it does. If people are reading this and are not knowing what I am talking about, I am saying atheists are ignorant. They apperently know all and seen all, yet they dont know what is happening inside the house right next to them.
Psalm 14
1The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

Nobody knows everything. We are all pieces to the puzzle. Collectively we(humans) do know everything. The more we put our heads together the more we learn of the big picture.

experience oriented

cannot argue with personal experience

can argue with religions that tell stories about anothers' then you try to live thier spirituality

I know what I have experienced, others believe they may understand later but give real money and time now as earnest money and hope they are right while pining away in this life, trivializing life and wasting away

Like any other human, an atheist's knowledge is based on education and experiences. His religious views does not provide him with any extrasensory capabilities.

I don't think anyone knows everything, some people know a bunch of things, but their religion doesn't really have anything to do with that

If you think you know all the answers to all the important questions, you are dumber than a bag of hammers regardless of religion or lack thereof.

None of the above.

Some are very intelligent, some are not.

The only difference they have from anyone else is they choose to NOT believe in any form of diety. the rest? All the same.
