After 8 years of war with Iran, Iraqi finances came under intense prssure. After the Iran war, Iraq started massive rebulding program. For that they need money and after two years, Crude prices drop very dramatically streaching the Iraqi Oil revenue all time low. At that time saddam asked Kuwaity leader, one of the best supporter of saddam during Iran war to increade the crude prices. Kuwait refused. Then Saddam asked uwait to write off all Iran war time debt which saddam took during The war from Kuwait. Kuwait refused that demand too. So in enger, saddam attacked kuwait. This was his biggest mistake. and another mistake he did is not leaving the Kuwait before UN deadline. Now Senior bush wanted the kind of situation. Bush has stakes in Texas oil companies. They made a lot money.
