Nowhere does it say in the title does it say that is the case.

There have been many replies to other questions throughout that clearly say "if you're not Christian, why are you posting in this section?" There are many other religions and you can be spiritual without being religious.

I am an athiest, but I am very interested in religion. I like having discussions with religious people. I don't hate them, I just don't happen to beleive the same thing they do.

This is not the a church for a particular beleif system. It's not the "Praise the Lord" topic, Or the "Promote and Love religion" topic.

It's a place to ask and answer questions about religion. As long as they follow Yahoo rules, everyone is allowed. As it should be.

Peace!
All religious groups should be allowed to post questions here. However. I cannot understand why atheists are in this section.

Atheists say they are not a religious group. They don't pray to a God or deity. They do not believe a person is a spiritual being or posseses a soul. Some of them meditate, but it is more for relaxation and self-awareness.

So since they are not a religious group and they are not spiritual why are they in this section? Shouldn't they be in the Philosopy or Humanties Section instead? I do not see any rhyme or reason why they are in this section.

it certainly is funny because at least once an hour you have someone who post a question saying something along the lines of "why are atheist even on this site, if they don't believe, then why are they even here"

anyone who is at least moderately intelligent, even christian, can tell that atheist are on the R/S section because they feel moral imperative, obligation to present skeptical views. so many people here think on such a shallow, self serving level and like to tell them selves that the skeptics are simply decieved and are being hard hearted to god.

Some realize that this is not the case; some are used to being in a position of power and privilege, without question; and some are just plain ignorant.

Yes you are right what they need and want is an exclusive la la page for themselves. Then they sit around and talk about how Happy they Are going to be when they get raptured to their la la fantasy land of eternity. and just for variety every once in a while ask their fantasy boogie man Satan to jump out and bite each other on the butt.

I don't think anyone thinks you should not be allowed, we just think if you hate us you should stay away from us. It is very unheathy to spend so much of your time around people you hate

We are not just Christians we are also people, and people tend to get upset when they are constantly belittled, especailly when the belittling comes in the form of a lie, we hear the same lies over and over again. Anyone that is willing to behave like an adult, listen to valid arguments, and stop makeing ad hominem attacks is more then welcome here. Anyone else needs to grow up, go to school and get a life.

This is the religion question area right, so there should be no reason why others can have questions from their faith. I am a christian, and i would be happy to answer their question. It helps strengthen my faith, and shapens the sword of truth. Even atheists are welcome, after all they have a religion to. After all they believe in NO God, they have converts dont they? hmmmmmm
