If you can find a local alternator repair shop, they may be able to upgrade it to a high output. Just make sure they do it properly. Some people will just increase the windings which is NOT the proper way to do this. It will also need an upgraded stator, regulator / rectifier and a different pully. If you do not have one of these places locally, you can try different auto parts stores. They may be able to locate one for you. After that, there's a search on the web. I did a quick search and found a few places that sell an high output alternator for your civic. Here are a couple of places I found:
http://www.4alterstart.com/ - sells one for $349.99 @ 170 amps and has a lifetime warranty. Located out of Dallas, TX.
I found several listings for ebay although I would use this as a last resort.
This website - http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1802650&postid=24729576 - is a forum on Honda's where a guy installed an aftermarket alternator and shows you detailed photos of his install. Although he did not list where he got it from.
Replacement of the alternator will also require you to replace the serpentine belt. This is normal since the pully on aftermarket alternators are smaller than factory to increase the R.P.M.'s of the alternator. You will need to simply take your existing belt to a local auto parts store and ask for one that is 1/2 to 1 inch smaller.
Hope this helps and good luck.

You can order them from auto parts stores, but why? Save your ears, turn down the volume, and be able to hear properly when you are older. The sound level can, and will make you deaf. It isn't worth it to have a loud stereo in your car. Besides, have you considered the extra power that the engine will have to provide to spin that special alternator? Apparently you have not given consideration to that. The engine has to supply the horse power to make the electricity that you want. This is going to mean at least the number of rpms at highway speed to get that kind of power. What that amounts to is holding the engine at 2000 rpm, or more, while stopped to run the alternator at full power to run the stereo.

Depends how many amps you amps are pulling, I would go with PowerMaster Aletrantor and batteries. I have been dealing with them for a year now and they have been AWESOME. They are big enough to make what ever and built to your needs, but the same time they are small enough to talk to you and hear your needs. I will def go with there product. You can have your stock alternator modified and re-spun but you do it once, your going to do it again. If you have all those equipment in your car, then you have to pay the consiquence on getting the right electrical power to push them.
