It means your own fears and insecurities keep you from finding
the things you need to be happy. If you refuse to care what others think and start cutting yourself some slack the fear will begin to subside and you'll start winning one step at a time.

If your feelings of insecurity are keeping you from going after what you really want in life or if you keep doing things which do not harmonize with the goals you have set for yourself, you could very well be considered your own worst enemy.

You can be your own worst enemy by doing stupid things that you know are stupid, but do them anyways. You can be your own worst enemy by refusing to listen to what others say about your life, like if they see you doing drugs and say it's a bad idea. You can be your own worst enemy by choosing to ignore things that shouldn't be ignored.
I don't know exactly what you're asking, but I hope that helped.

Christians can be so offensive they turn a lot of people from the faith - thus, they are they're own worst enemy. People like Benny Hinn, hurt the faith far more than they help it.

You sow a thought and reap an action, You sow an action and reap a habit, You sow a habit and you reap a character, You sow a character and you reap a destiny...it all begins with a thought. We tell ourselves negative things constanly and we become what we have drilled into our own heads. Some of those things may be words that others have put there to put us down, but we entertain those suggestions and believe them and then become them. That's what I think that means.

Sure. I'm trying to lose 25 pounds. I won't keep my hands off of candy. I just bought, and ate, a carton of Haagen Das with chocolate sauce.
Like that.

It means you ruin all of your own best laid plans by not learning from your mistakes , or not having impulse control or from just many things that can get in your own way.

That means you put obstacles in front of yourself that cause you to fail. You are responsible for your failures.
