I understand that the official viewpoint is that euthanasia/suicide is wrong, but what if the person who assists with the euthanasia was sent by God to ease the sick person's suffering? Just as the doctor who cures a person's illness is sent by God...?

You're saying that God would send a person to kill another person out of mercy. That's wrong. God would never do that. A doctor sent to cure an illness is giving healing and life, not taking it. There is a difference. Euthanasia is murder, not medicine.

Do-not-resuscitate orders and pulling the plug on life-support machines is not euthanasia. It's letting nature (and God's will) take it's course.

On the other hand, letting a sick child starve to death, simply because he can't eat by fork and spoon, would not be the will of God. It would be cruel.

In a world that insists right and wrong is simply a matter of perception, perhaps suffering is also relative. Once we perceive death as being "better" than life, we have no other boundaries to keep us humane. Anyone can claim to be "sent by God."

there is a big difference in curing a person's illness and assisting in the death of a person. healing is in GOD'S plan not committing suicide. suicide is stealing from GOD, healing or doctoring is of GOD, what about JESUS healing people in the BIBLE and what about the physican named LUKE who was a doctor in his day and was spoken of in the BIBLE. GOD never puts his stamp of approval on suicide but he does on healing and doctoring. anyway a person that assist in a suicide is helping to committee murder and should be held accountable.

A Bishop of the Anglican Church of England, the same Church from which we get the King James or Authorized Version of the Bible said six months about that severely deformed children should not be allowed to live.

It is still murder. God says "Thou shalt not kill". It is NOT anyone's place to take the life of another, even if they consider it 'mercy' - it is still taking away the life of another. We don't have that right - only God does. Any person that suffers from a terminal illness are to die naturally - it is no one's right to 'help them die'. It's wrong. God is the Creator of life and thus, is the ONLY one who has the right to take it (excluding capital punishment, which is our God-given duty to carry out justice upon murderers). God is against murder, so therefore, God would NOT ask or send anyone to take the life of another.

God doesn't send "euthanasists". I believe the date and time of death is decided before we are even born and to mess with it is messing with "the plan".
