IF we ever get that situation under control, there's a possibility, some will be returning. Reading the news lately, we may be making some headway and getting more determined, but I also read that the Iraqi's STILL want us by their side. We're no babysitters and eventually will have to "let go". The insurgents know this and they, too, are more determined to make it harder for us.

With the anti-war movement heating up, and the dissatisfaction of Bush by the Democrats AND a growing number of Republicans, I think the troops in Iraq will be home.

I doubt it. It's such a mess that don't even know what they're doing anymore in Washington. So it don't really matters anymore. Most of these people do things just to protect their own stupid interests and mistakes. I mean to cover their stupid mistkaes. Go to school study hard. Be some body. don't let this baffoons control your life anyway they want to. Take charge of what once was our's. Remember this, It's the people of this country that holds all power. not the government, and this is the law of the land. These idiots in Washington are using their authority we gave them, and guess what they did. They abused it. Instead of representing the people and this country and what this nation is for, they stepped on us causing huge embarassments for our nation. Things got so out of hand, that I think they don't even know what the next step is.
So like I say go to school. Study hard, and stay in school. Be somebody. Do something that your parents and friends will be proud of you. Good enough, yes?

I wouldn't count on any major reduction in troop level, until a democrat who isn't ashamed to admit there mistake in 2002, when they voted for this modern day "VIETNAM"sits in the oval office. Until we cut off trade and aid to arms trade nations and Communist China we cannot stem the tide of terrorism. Find out where these fanatics get there weapons and stop them, then we can start policing the world again.

No, you must understand that no sitting president could have allowed the regime in Iraq to stand after 9-11. Those cowards that want to pull out now are playing right into the hands hands of the enemy, who have clearly stated they don't believe Americans have the stomach to fight for what they believe. In the case of the liberals, that is true. The troops will be there many years to come, and should be.

I believe we will have troops deployed to some part of the world for generations to come. Terror cells will pop up other places. There isn't going to be a definitive end to this war. As long as no more attacks happen on US soil the war is being won.

No. Bush is dragging it out. When the new president is elected and takes office, and THAT president pulls out, Bush can blame that president for losing. And if that president is a democrat, the sheep that call themselves conservatives will definitely blame the loss on the new president.

Personally I don't think so. I actually see us bombing Iran. If not us then I see Israel doing it for us. Then we would back them up because they are our allies. With nukes being involved somewhere is this picture, it will happen. Iran isn't as bad as the press makes them out to be, it is the people in power that will kill their own and anyone else who gets in there way. Well that is my take on the matter.
