thanksgiving is better than christmas, but it's still kind of mean to break up with someone right before any holiday.

Breaking up with somebody during before or after the holidays is the worst thing we can do. Your partner will forever remember your breakup precisely because it is marked by a festive occassion. Unfortunately the festive seasons are the one time that an already failing relationship comes under a lot of scrutinity and it is not a surprise that it fails and we end up breaking things up then because you don't want to go through another season with a failed relationship when you can start anew.

I don't think it is about deserving or not. The holidays are a big deal. It could be the terror of meeting or introducing someone new to the family. It could be that she didn't know what to get you for the holidays. Maybe, you felt the spirit of the hoildays bringing you together and she felt you getting too clingy.

Dear Paully Joe... I don't think there is any good time.. it is very hard.. and I know you where very hurt over it.

But would you have rather he played you for a fool and lead you on just for the holidays.. That is what I mean.. there is no real good time..

Please look foward and move on.. You will be fine.. above all forgive him. You will recover faster if you do.

It is silly to wait until after the holidays... I hear a lot of people say this, but it just doesn't make sense.
Would you rather she had waited and just pretended she was happy until after? Would you be any less hurt now than you were then?

Could be. It depends on the situation. What did you do? If you a) slept with her mother, b) broke her jaw, c) ran over her new kitten, I'd say that it was an entirely reasonable response.
