I have long hair and i dont really know how to make it curly besides scrunching. if i try sometimes it gets hard and not very pretty. im not good with curling irons so any help is much thanked.

but i have had 2 perms in the past and i really dont want to get another one. it gets very ugly curls when i sleep with my hair wet. thanks.

Well, sleeping with wet hair can lead to not very pretty styles. You move around a lot while you're asleep so it's bound to crease in certain places and flatten too.

Try a curling shampoo along with a curl enhancing spray. You can use a blow dryer with a diffuser to help that process, along with scrunching. You can wrap pieces around your finger to make it a little curly, then dry it with the diffuser for more cork-screw type curls.

You could try using curl definition products. Use a leave-in conditioner after washing then curling cream or gel for curly hair. Braid it before bed while still wet and hopefully in the morning you'll have some soft curls!
