How many of you just have faith for no reason other than loving God? I bet most of you are doing it out of either fear or greed.

Neither one of those.

I love his word, the history of people and Empires, how LOST came about and how
SAVED will be as promised. I love the promise of the new Heavens and the new earth.
I am just so glad to have the book. So glad to give thanks to the right one for all I see.
I am sorry mankind got into such a mess. Glad there is a promise to correct the situation instead of destroy it as I would probably have done, I am glad God and Jesus are in charge. John 3:16;

I believe a lot of Christians does not have faith in God but just be Christian as a norm of society dictates. As you have put it, some out of greed as they only pray to God when they are in trouble or want something from Him.
Some out of fear as they have close brush with death
or are in pain & sickness. I fear him, yes but I've just
started learning how to love Him. How can we not love
a God who has sacrifice his only beloved son to save us?
He has feelings too. Did we ever think how hard it was for
Him to refuse Jesus at the Garden of Gethsmane that His Will had to be carried out? All He could do was send his Angels to comfort Jesus. And now, how he is feeling when the whole world makes a mockery of His Son's sacrifice when Christians proclaim to be with Him but yet still sin endlessly? Sad, isn't it? The End days are near, are we ready to face Him on Judgement Day?

I do believe in God, but sometimes I do feel as though I'm loving Him out of fear. Like, if I lost all faith in Him, and didn't really make it a priority to pray to Him, then my life would be pretty much over. I'd feel like he'd take everyone I love away from me, or not let anything good happen to me anymore. I know this sounds selfish, but it's true.

My dear a_begeng, faith is a totally and exclusively personal matter and has absolutely nothing to do with religion. The cloth has been trying for millennia to equate faith and religion and so far they have convinced only the ignorant and/or the naive. Yet, in answering your question, in either case, you have absolutely no base to step on because you (meaning WE) simply have no way of telling and or distinguishing the reason for which, as you present it, is fear and/or expected reword.

Anyone who knows God loves Him because of what He has done in their lives. Fear and greed play no part in the heart of a true follower of Jesus Christ.

I do it for neither fear or greed. AND IT IS NOT BECAUSE I WANT TO BE REWARDED. You're wrong about us Believers. Please do not become angry with me, but I have faith in God because I love Him, I love Him for giving me life, for giving me my family, for creating everything, for sending His Son to do die for our sins. I do not wish to be rewarded, I can only hope I spread the word of God fast enough to people before the Rapture takes place. I can only pray for the ones I know and love to become saved. I know the reason we are all here is because God put us here. My other reason for believing God is because he has shown Himself to me, he has protected me, lead me the believe in Him. I cannot deny his existence. I believe in Him with all my heart. I have seen God's miracles. God shows himself to everyone, it is you who decides whether or not you see Him. God bless you, take care.

To me God the cosmic creator does not dispense reward or
retribution, but has provided the whole of creation all the supplies
that they need to experience this path successfully and return home

If one have faith, one just believe and just do it. They are not motivated by fear or greed. If so, it's not faith.
