Take a lil bit of the pomade and rub it into your hands kinda like lotion. You don't want to be able to see a blog of pomade. Flip hair upside down and rub it on the hair. Start at the bottom so that there is more pomade at the ends, work your way up. Spray a lil volumizer in the roots too. My hair is very thick and I have to use about a nickel size of pomade and do it twice. But in order to rub it in, you'd rather use a smaller amount rubbed in twice than use a lot the first time b/c it will just end up globby.

When you flip back, use a round brush (I prefer a large boar bristle) and wrap it so that the ends Flip out not in. Use the hair dryer and spray a light hold on it. (Either a styling gel or light hair spray--doesnt matter) Rather than hold the brush with hair around and blow dry like you would if you just wanted to flip the ends, keep the brush moving the whole time.

If at the end you have a couple more pieces that arent sticking right, take a lil more pomade between your fingers, hold the hair out and pinch the end.

It doesnt really take that long--maybe 10 min max. I used to do that every morning. Love the look!

I would try getting some layers in your hair. Then take about a dime size amout of pomade and rub it in your hands. Then with your fingertips run it through the ends of the layers.
