I work 30 hours a week and am in school 25 hours a week, ( I am about 8 years older than everybody on campus and about 15 years younger than everybody at work) My friends are all married and I'm having trouble meeting a woman for a relationship. I've always felt that online dating was a chickens way of doing it, I guess I'm wondering if I do it is there any chance of meeting normal people? Thanx

Several years ago the answer probably would have been no: there aren't any normal people. But things have changed. Life keeps getting more chaotic so people have been turning to online dating services to take some of the hassle out of the experience. I think you should try it: what could it hurt? It doesn't mean you have to stop looking for someone the "natural way" and worst case scenario: you'll have some great stories to tell. =)

I do not think online dating is lame. My guess is you would run into a lot of people like yourself. Busy, driven and looking for a normal person to date.

Its a v. common tool for finding someone, but the truth is that all the ppl on there are misfits. Kinda like yourself, rly, just not in the normal swing of things. If you're cool with misfits and ready to weed the nutballs out, sure, it'll work for getting a date at least.

Don't count yourself out on the younger chicks. Plenty of them like older guys or are at least curious enough to get you laid.

I have never done it, but I know lots of people that have. Most say that it can be a little frustrating beacuse you end up going on alot of bad dates, but I know a few that it really worked out for. Just be careful and it can't hurt to try.

There is nothing wrong with online dating.
I know a lot of people who have met each other online... even people who were pen pals... who hit it off and got married.
Meeting people online is just another way of meeting new people.

talking to woman online is easier because you dont have them infront of your face instead you have a computer screen. i think there is nothing wrong to talk to woman online aslong as after you think your ready to take it further try having a serious relationship and get away from the online business :]
