No not in the U.S..
But in Tijuana, Mexico all of their police officers have been stripped of their guns, pending a police corruption investigation. All their officers have been issued Slingshots & marbles, until the investigation is over.

Tasers and pepper spray are all steps in the right direction. But until we make the absolutely flawless, never fails non-leathal weapon, we will still arm police with guns.
All of the neat stuff you see has limitations and the fact of the matter is we in the profession call them "less lethal" because there are circumstances where almost any tool can hurt or kill someone.
I hope someday this can happen and tasers etc. are getting better, but tasers have and will continue to fail to work perfectly.
I can pretty confidently say in the near or not so distant future, no all police weaopns will not, nor cannot be non-leathal.

i personally think it may all depend on how effective the non-lethal weapons are.
When i say effective, i mean, how well do they incapacitate the assailant without injuring him, or others.
But i do think there will come a time when direct weapons and firearms will have little bearing on how we resolve a situation. For example, there will come a time when weapons and attacks will be more complex, and the socio-economic impact of such crimes will "injure" a citizen, with firearms and weapons serving little purpose to any party involved.
I also think there will come a time when you see both extremes of the spectrum of lethal/non-lethal weapons are developed to their maximum.
I know it sounds crazy.
But think about it.

So long as criminals are armed with lethal weapons, cops will be too. Firearms are a necessity in modern American law enforcement. Tasers, pepper spray, pepper balls, beanbags, batons and all the less lethal tools that police carry are great for dealing with non deadly force situations. Unfortunately, deadly force situations call for deadly force response.

As soon as the bad guys have non-lethal weapons, so will the police.

No, it would be absurd to think so. When there is a deadly force levied against an officer, they have to employ deadly fore to neutralize the situation pronto.
