When I'm home all day on the weekends, I can eat a big meal and STILL be hungry. What's the deal?

It's the disruption to your usual routine. A smaller version of jet lag, as it were.

Do you sleep in?

I do the same thing. It's mostly because I'm not doing the normal routine that I have made during the week.

When you get outside your routine you tend to eat a bit more because your mind isn't as occupied and it keeps telling you to do something, anything. You happen to eat to pass the time.

When you think you feel hungry try to asses the situation. Think about the last time you ate, then think how hungry you really are. Also try drinking a lot of water or liquids when you feel this hunger urge. It helps to sate that urge.

Try to understand what it feels like to be really hungry, like when your stomach is rumbling and it kinda hurts because you haven't had any food. That's real hunger. It'll help to get you back on track

Chances are you might not actually be hungry after eating.. It might just be that your bored and thats the best way to occupy your time. Food usually hits the stomach at least 20 mins post-eating, so if you eating before that you havent begun to digest the big meal you previously had.Try finding a hobby or something to distract yourself, ex. reading, movies, or just going out with friends.

Some times we mistake the hunger feeling with actually being thirsty .Drink a glass of water in any case . We also eat out of boredom.
Hope this helps.

Well, bad weather always shows up on the weekend which is depressing so, you're eating more as a reaction to being depressed.

Happens to me too!! Probably because you're exposed to food 24/7. On weekdays, were usually at work, so it distracts us from food, and keeps our mind away from it.

You are probably bored, or don't have the usual distractions that keep you from eating a lot.
