First of all, I have no idea why I am even answering this question, because I am not religious. Christianity is NOT a religion. There is a ton of difference. AND secondly, it is a sin in the first place to swear to God, so anything after that is, naturally, sin.

I was taught never to swear to God, b/c if you break that promise, you will feel like *$&( and God doesn't want you to feel like that. But the short answer is yes. Breaking any promise that is not for good I think is a sin.

Breaking any promise is a sin, betraying any trust is completely wrong. But to do one worse and to swear by God is completely unacceptable.

No. It can only be a sin if it makes god angry. Every time you say I swear to God...it is only heard by his mystical pony, lancador. Lancador does not relay this info to god, unless someone specifically is trying to reach god. In this case Lancador, the mystical horse, will first ride across 40 deserts in fifty nights, light a bush on fire, part a sea, turn water into wine, sacrifice himself, rise from the dead, and write a scroll with his unicorn horn your message to god. Unless of course we are in flood season...then he has to build a giant boat that houses all of the animals, and wait it out.... I think... but, don't quote me on any of this...check with your local god to be sure... we all have one.

I am not religious but can help you answer your question.
Someone who can't keep a promise has indeed lied and hence it is a sin but the blood of Christ already washed us clean and covered all our sins, past, present and future. So believers once cleansed, should have no consciousness of sin.
Hope this answers your question and more.

yes it is. Furthermore, in Matthew 5 it says
33"Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' 34But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; 35or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.

I don't use the term "Sin" but I do believe that if someone swears an oath to their Deity, then breaks it, that they're asking for some repercussions.

I don't believe in sin.
But according to the Bible, it is considered a sin simply to say "I swear to God" in the first place. Many Christians won't even swear on a Bible in court for that reason.

I would say so, unless maybe the person is so in the habit of saying it that it has no meaning for them. Still it would be good to break the habit and not make such serious promises lightly.

The Bible says that we will be held accountable for every vow we make to God. Yes, it's a sin.
