What is the cost of a new kitchen?

I am thinking of replacing my old kitchen, what would be an approximate cost of doing this. It is a small u-shaped kitchen. The appliances I have a fairly new I just want to add a dishwasher.

Geez. How much money do you want to spend? Dishwashers range from around $200 to $1500. Are you replacing or refacing the cabinets? Are you moving any appliances to new locations? What about flooring? You could do it on the cheap for $1000 or so (as seen on Trading Spaces) or you could spend over $60,000. It all depends on the finishes and the amount of work you want done. One point of solace: The money you spend on your kitchen and bath (if done properly) will more than pay for itself when it comes to resale. I suggest you peruse magazines and home centers, pick out what you want and start getting estimates. That part doesn't cost a cent and will give you a better feel for what to expect.
