There is no evidence that coffee will stunt your growth. There are some studies which even suggest that frequent coffee-drinking may actually help avoid some diseases, though this isn't undisputed. Some of the more dramatic negative consequences are also a bit in dispute.

There aren't too many people, however, who dispute the side effects of caffeine consumption. It's very easy to build a tolerance to caffeine which makes a physical withdrawal equally common. In other words, you are probably already addicted. And if you ask me, being forced to consume a product regularly rather than suffer headaches, irritability, inability to concentrate, stomach aches, and the like for a half week sounds like something that is quite bad indeed.

Caffeine is also known to increase stomach acid production, making you more prone to ulcers, acid reflux, and other unpleasant gastrointestinal effects. Used in large amounts, it has been shown to cause many of the above conditions even when you're not in withdrawal, with anxiety, insomnia, and heart palpatations thrown in as well. There are even psychiatric disorders associated with caffeine.

All in all, I'd definitely reduce my intake to a relatively low level if I were you. This might also increase your appreciation of the amount that you do drink as well!

I grew up from about 10-15 working with some heavy coffee drinking people. To fit in I did the same. No, it did not stunt my growth. It is not bad for you as long as you remember to keep latte drinking in moderation.

well it has been proven that coffee can stunt, not stint, your growth. it is not bad for you, for say. but now that you have been drinking it so muck you may go throw withdraws if you stop taking it. that will give you headaches and in some cases make you feel sick. and at such a young age you may grow a tolerence to coffee and will find your self drinking more and more as time goes on.

the word is STUNT and no it can't...but if you don't drink lots of water (coffee is a diuretic) you will end up without enough salt and potassium in your system.(gatorade, orange juice...etc..will replenish what coffee takes away) also all the fat in a latte, well it will put on the pounds...

I don't believe it will effect your growth, but moderation is key...I love my Starbucks too, but if I have too much, it makes my heart race. Caffeine can be addictive too. Look at link for more info...good luck!

Myth. Your genes determine your growth, not caffeine.
