well if you like him, then go out with him. in a strong friendship, the people will remain friends afterwards. PLUS if you are attracted to each other, and you already know each other, then you wil already have a strong bond to start out with - you can skip the awkward "uh.....hi, let's find out about each other" stage.

you might feel wierd having sex with him the first time, but it'll be fine once you start to get into it.

Good friends are hard to come by. What kind of friend are you? You will go through many different types of relationships in your life. In the ups and downs it is the good friend that will be by your side. Because someone tells you he likes you more than someone else should not be the deciding factor in what choices you make for your life. It's interesting but so what. . .

well if you don't feel the same way about him why mess up your friendship, tell him you want to continue to be friends, but if you feel the same way as he does then why not it's not hurting anyone. If it doesn't work out you could always TRY to be back friends.

How do you feel about him? Be honest with him. Tell him that you value his friendshop very highly and would hate to lose it if dating doesn't work out.

If you like him, go out with him--life is boring without risks.

If you don't, be honest and don't sugarcoat it.
